The Age of LLM is Here
When we returned from Silicon Valley last year, Shixiang first mentioned the AI 2.0 trend, observing that "we don't seem to see anyone challenging the trillion-dollar tech giants like Google and Microsoft yet, but AI makes us inclined to think it's about to happen." Just a few months later, the coalition led by OpenAI and Anthropic has become the driving force we anticipated.
The world has officially transitioned from the Mobile era to the LLM era. As we experienced the shift from PC to Mobile, the LLM wave is poised to bring even larger and more innovative business model upgrades as information becomes increasingly efficient and capable. Computers are now truly beginning to understand human natural language, which represents not only a change in the way people and computers interact, but also a disruption to traditional internet behaviors such as information aggregation and distribution, complex tasks, and socialization.
Last month, we open-sourced the Shixiang AI Infra investment mapping, which breaks down the entire machine learning workflow and value chain. This study is a deep dive into the boundaries of LLM, the LLM company landscape, ecosystem, and the leading player OpenAI over the past two months.
We’ll be releasing three parts to open-source the full report. This is the part one, our key judgements on LLM and AI native Apps.
